As an emerging medical recruitment agency growing across Australia and New Zealand, we now have an opportunity available for a Clinical Psychologist to be based in Whanganui, New Zealand. 


The Client 

Our client is a trusted nationwide provider of rehabilitation and allied health services. With a strong focus on evidence-based care and client-centred outcomes, they offer multidisciplinary support and structured professional development to their clinical teams. Their Whanganui service is known for its collaborative culture and commitment to delivering meaningful, community-based care. 


The Opportunity 

We’re seeking a Clinical Psychologist to deliver psychological assessments and interventions as part of a wider rehab team. This is a varied role with the opportunity to work across private and community settings, supporting clients with mental health, pain management, and return-to-work goals. You’ll be supported by experienced peers and leaders who foster continuous growth and clinical excellence. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide therapeutic interventions tailored to individual client needs

  • Carry out psychological assessments and contribute to multidisciplinary treatment planning

  • Liaise with families, referrers, and external agencies to support client outcomes

  • Maintain high-quality clinical documentation and reporting

  • Participate in ongoing service development and reflective practice


Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology

  • Registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board with a current APC

  • Excellent communication and client engagement skills

  • Confidence working independently and collaboratively within a team
